The Poppy rework + yordles in general

So some audio files were released on the PBE that might be reworked Poppy's voice, and to be honest, I'm scared. Firstly, I am soo ECSTATIC she's getting a rework and still can wait to see her, but am afraid that riot will make her a ridiculous champion. What I loved about Poppy was she was a yordle you could take seriously. I mean her joke was she doesn't do jokes. This is scaring me that RIot will just make her just another happy go lucky eccentric Yordle. Only yordles i can take seriously now are Rumble and Gnar.

P.s. What is Corki? I know that he is supposed to be a yordle, but he doesn't follow the rules you set up so far for the biology of their species. His has human complexion and no fur. Is he a freak or as male yordles age they become more human like? ANd yes I know he was created back when there were no set rules for Yordles, I just wanna know how riot will explain this or deal with it.

She isn't even serious all that much now, isn't she?

Yeah, she doesn't do jokes, but the way she says it is with this confused demeanor that suggests just how bland she is inside. A lot of her quotes are just dry, uncharacteristic goodie-goodie-two-shoes quotes that don't speak for what kind of character Poppy really is.

I loved Tristana 's voice over and new quotes because it brought her character to life more, and the same goes for Sion . Sion isn't exactly relevant to yordles, but since we're talking about Sion-sized updates, if you remember the old Sion, he was just this mashup of archaic Arnold Schwarzenegger jokes and goofy quotes that just hindered him over time. Now, after the update, it is very clear what he is and what he wants to be, and when you hear him talk, you get the "Undead Juggernaut" vibe like his titles implies.

The demeanor of most Yordles is something ecstatic and excitable, even Gnar and Rumble , and it just builds their common identity in this direction; I mean, they're mostly cute, little balls of fur and fun.

So, I don't see how it bothers you so much about Poppy being potentially "ridiculous" when the very concept of their race or whatever isn't supposed to be menacing or powerful anyway.

If you want a stoic, imposing champion to play with that "seriousness" vibe, I'm sure you'd like Shen and Sejuani .

Me? I'm very glad she is getting this voiceover.
