Either admit there is a bug with GP or re-enable him

it is not okay to continually keep a champion disabled for non-gameplay related issues at the very least in ranked. I'm not just saying this as someone who's first champion was Gangplank or who mains them, but also as someone who hates to see this become a trend. I'm all for balance disables, in fact I prefer them because it prevents abuse and exploitation. But what you are doing right now, by continuing to disable Gangplank simply for the reason "that he is dead" is just frankly a jerk move. You are forcibly shortening peoples champion pools and even denying access to a favorite for many.

I understand the impact of lore, however you are forcing lore on a traditionally lore-separated game. If this is the direction that you intend to take in the future then you also have to implement faction locking so that enemies like sion and j4 cant just hop into the game and be all buddy buddy. If you want to force lore into the games, please do so only in non-ranked queues, I think that is a fair compromise.

We get it, he dies in the lore. But please, think of the oranges, without Gangplank there is now a gigantic overstock and their stock value is plummeting! We are on the precipice of perhaps the greatest citrus collapse the world has ever seen! If Gangplank is not allowed to return to his role as the main consumer of oranges, then someone else has to take up that mantle

Gangplank is going to be back in the game, somehow. He has PBE changes.

If I could somehow hack League of Legends and Riot, I would definitely make it so Gangplank is permanently disabled in much the same way that apparently Teemo can't be simply "deleted", just out of spite of this lore nonsense so that Riot realizes how completely asinine and backward this decision is. I legitimately don't care about Gangplank specifically, I just think that if you're going to disable a champion for the lore alone, even in jest, then there needs to be a publicly stated reason why this is, instead of it being "inferred" based on a fictional game event that up until now hasn't ever existed in the entirety of the existence of League of Legends.

You don't get to just retcon Gangplank back in because keeping him disabled for an unclear amount of time until the event "ends" would be harmful to the community atmosphere. This is one more example of Riot Games' failure to properly keep their playerbase in the loop about what's going on in their game, even though on the surface it just seems like a fitting real-life circumstance of X champion "dying" in the lore.

But seriously, back to what I was saying before, can we have Teemo be "killed" and then disabled permanently? I'm sure if a petition for this event began, it would be overwhelmingly supported.

For someone like me whose tinfoil hat is securely hotglued to his head, Riot's "jerk move" I can see past for actual balance reasons because as the real life incarnation of Caitlyn, I was able to deduce that the Cops and Robbers skins they released last year were a giant promotional event to commemorate Riot dropping a train on RAF botters.

Still though, sheeple such as yourself should deserve big corporation transparency, but the powers that be won't allow it.
