My take away from the ALL CHAT role discussion

It feels like the current intention of each position is as follows... (correct me if I'm wrong.)

ADC- played by marksman- gets protected gets fed Support- played by supports (mostly tanks)- protects and peels for adc Jungle- played by heavy fighters- mans the front line/tanks? Mid- Played by assassins- deals burst damage stays safe Top- Played by lighter fighters- split pushes

My issues with this... ADC really should be encouraged to be played by more than just marksman, I'm sure other champs would be just as good at it. Support- so is support a role or a position on the map? Jungle- interesting that they directly said the jungle "mans the front line" I didn't think they were meant to be the tanks but I guess Mid- Mages have just disappeared entirely Top- they are often not split pushing ironically

ADC's are intended to be, at their core, tower pushers which is why all listed marksmen are, except mord?, ranged ad champions. Sure you can play any champ adc but only the specific adc champs will excel in organized play.

Support is a both a position and role depending on who you play. Lulu is a good solo laner and can be taken in all 3 lanes but retains a support position in her team because of the nature of her kit.

Everyone playing assassins now is just because it's fun and popular. The top 5 highest win rate champs for mid are still mages and their getting a update soon.

Top doesn't need to solely split push, much like jungle it depends on who you're playing.
