Want to fix the community?

Turn the chat system off, give the game a greater diversity of pings and limit talking to post and pre-game lobbies. There is no reason for a community to be this toxic and out of control and I'm over it at this point. How is it Blizzard can maintain their community so much better and have such limited interaction with it?

Also? Remove the report system. People will either choose to stay in the post or pregame lobbies and rage or get raged at or leave. If they choose to stay? Let them have at it. The people who are competent will leave and move on. Let the idiots waste their time on their own terms and at their own pace. And if someone gets racial or homophobic? There's still a ticket system to be used.

I don't just think this would fix all the BS. I know it would. I've been through enough smurfs now to understand what it is that triggers the toxicity in this community.

Or, you can just mute them and report them. With the new report system currently in effect i see less and less toxicity in the actual game honestly. Not post/pre game but during i see much less.

Uhh. I just want to requote some things.

Turn the chat system off

The entire game would basically feel like playing with and against bots all the time. A huge part of multiplayer gaming is feeling like you are part of a community, and without being able to connect with other players there's no point.

Remove the report system

...What. This is like saying we should get rid of all our law enforcement and let people just do whatever they want.

And if someone gets racial or homophobic? There's still a ticket system to be used.

A ticket system that already takes a week or so to get a response, and that's without the massive influx that would happen if the report system were removed. It would probably take months for ticket reports to affect anything in a system like this, meaning people could constantly make the experience terrible for others with almost no repercussions whatsoever.
