When they made Ekko? I truly don't believe we've ever had a champion come out that is -that- devastating no matter how underfed they are. It's just ridiculous. I mean if you think about it? He cannot be countered. Having more escape mechanisms than any champion with that much burst and utility is ridiculous.

You do realize that his champions are fun to play, and their only problems are their numbers for the most part? Its the fault of the balance team these champions are overtuned or undertuned. Jesus you sheeple; its like blaming the chef because the waiter forgot to put "rare" on the ticket.

Kalista's mobility isn't a numbers problem. Thresh's kit isn't a balance problem. Darius can't be tuned without making him flat-out weak or flat-out strong. If Yasuo's wind wall CD increases any more, it'll be an ult.
Zyra was actually a collaboration of a lot of people, and is the most balanceable of his champs.

They may be fun to play but they aren't fun to play against at all. None of his champions are really. Do you honestly think that anyone has fun playing against Darius, Kalista, or release Zyra? Complete cancer on release and for Kalista she will always be cancer

But from a design sense they are just ass, not belonging in the game they were made for. And for other people who instead get enjoymen from strategy, challenge, improving your own play, etc. they are not fun to play against or to play as.

When you start off by defending them for being fun is where your argument loses all traction. Being fun doesn't justify a broken mess of a kit. You also think they only have problems with their numbers? Really? I mean sure, let's ignore the inherent toxicity of what he creates and the agonizingly obnoxious kits he designs, and then we can say it's only numbers.
oreosauce2 votesEkko IS easily countered. You have no idea how badly Leblanc and Fizz will shit on him. He did have some ridiculous stats when he first came out but there are very clear weaknesses. First, he's very mana hungry, throughout most of the game, especially now that his ult actually uses mana. His Q can be easily sidestepped and you can work around getting stunned by his W. Most people just need to use high mobility champs against him (or, as some like to call it, broken vs broken) and have a decent knowledge of his abilities. You can avoid receiving damage from his ult by knowing where his little ghost thing is (I don't remember what its called lol srry) and keeping distance from it. Also, he has fairly long cooldowns which can be easily abused and used against him in the laning phase, as well as the fact that he's melee so you can zone him away from your minions and if he uses his Q to farm, he will be oom very quickly.
Leetri2 votesAll his skills are telegraphed, he needs to outplay you to deal any damage. He can't just walk in and kill you like say Talon. I have absolutely 0 issues against him as Viktor, just drop the gravity field on yourself when you see him dash, then Q him for the speed boost for an easy escape.

Ekko was meant to be a skirmish champion; Get in, do your combo, get out, wait, go back in to clean up. The problem with this concept is that this game isnt DotA: Its riot dude arena. The name of the game is Burst and ekko has the scaling and base damage to have stupid amounts of burst regardless of if he has gold.
