Her base damage is decent, but even poisoned, she will OOM in a minute trying to 100-0 someone at level 2. She can't really 100-0 anyone until she has built the Tear or Catalyst, and even then, that's assuming you haven't built HP or popped a potion.

I'm betting/wondering if he also took an entire wave of minion aggro / doesn't have MR blues but AP blues or something.

Not at level 2. Her mana costs are through the roof until she builds mana management items.

at the low low cost of over 100 mana + 40 mana for each additional cast while also having to hit a delayed skillshot and be close enough to be near you while you are running very little defense in your runes and she is running mostly offence.
