VERY Broken 'ranking'

So I'll keep this short. Yes, we all know the ranking is broken, yes RIOT probably won't look at this post, yes probably they won't address it or fix the issue, but here is another example of how the "Grade ranking" is broken.

Just played a game as jungle Rammus. My score: 3/1/27 with 86 CS

My team's scores:

Vayne 12/3/5 with 191 Caitlyn 19/8/7 with 147 Leona 3/5/20 with 25 Zilean 4/6/15 with 120

Vayne (lowest kill participation and who was rarely there for fights until after 20 min) got an S-. I got an "A."

A fricken "A" despite having the highest KDA by a TON, and the highest kill participation on either team. My CS was certainly not great, but for a jungler whose ganking and racking up a kill or assist every 90 seconds 86 sure ain't bad.

I don't care that much about grade ranks since I get my chests pretty easy each month, but with the new "Mastery" system they actually do contribute to something once you cap out a champ (as my Rammus is).

So it's pretty frustrating to have a great standout performance with 75% kill participation, an almost deathless game, secure all 4 drakes for your team and then be told "Yeah that was somewhat above total crap I guess, but if you want to do good for realz sit up top lane and AFK farm for 30 min k?"

how you did compared to your team is irrelevant. what is relevant is how you did compared to other rammus players. getting a lot of assists with him is pretty normal, so just getting 27 assists in a game won't secure you an S if you don't do well in other aspects of the game as well. under 3cs/m is what killed your grade.

Lol. Dude its called jungling 1st of all. 2nd I out CSed the enemy jungle. 3rd 75% kill participation is GREAT on any champ, and a 30 KDA is OUTSTANDING on every champ. CS was the only score that I wasn't off the charts on, and it certainly wasn't that bad. My entire point was that CS is clearly weighted WAAAY too heavily. All vayne did all game was afk farm and he got 2 grades higher than the people carrying him. Clearly a VERY broken system.

Ranked game statistics:

Average Rammus CS Globally: 76 (that includes top lane Rammus players, which make up roughly 30% of the total and increase the number significantly) [10 less than mine] Average Rammus KDA: .76 [A massive 29.24 less than mine] Average assists: 10.69 [A huge 16.31 less than mine]

10/1/31 on Ezreal got an A rank

Our Poppy 16/7/23 got an S

10/1/31 is A!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!? That's a 41 KDA!!

System is so fail. Anyone who thinks otherwise is out of their damn mind.

You are misunderstanding something pretty important here. Your Score has nothing to do with your performance compared to your teammates, it is judged based on other people playing your Champion. It is based on the performance of other people playing that same champion and how well you did compared to that.

-NOTE THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE, NOT AN ACTUAL STATISTIC-

If the Average Rammus gets 90 farm by 30 minutes but you only got 86 by 30 minutes, you are performing below average for Rammus. If the average Vayne goes 8/4/2 with 150 CS by 45 minutes and that Vayne went 12/3/5 with 191 CS by 45 minutes, they are performing above average for Vayne. You will get a lower score than the Vayne because the Vayne is performing above average whereas you performed below average compared to others who played those champions.

Again this is just an example, not a real representation of what happened or actual statistics.

the grade system is broken. I've given up on trying to get those chests and to level 6 mastery. they want you to buy the chests with riot points and want to make sure you're not above anything challenger/master lvl would get.
