It hurts my stomach to know it was all a waste. (Looting and Crafting)

Okay peeps, read my quick little tale not tail, and learn from me.

Those of you who play lawl too much, know that acquiring keys takes time, after you win about 5 the rate of key frag drops off extremely. After that, you open the chest and your not guaranteed anything you wanted. So it takes a long while to acquire enough junk to mash together into a permanent, then hope that permanent is even a champ you own.

So. im here to tell you dont combine, just refine... When it comes to skins, never random roll them, just take the essence. Heres why.

Had acquired 4 skins, took a long time to do it. 1 ahri legacy skin (keeping till i get her later on) 1 rammus in the sands skin. (DId not want, did not own) 1 legendary Demonblade tryndamere skin (Did not ever want the champ, did not own) 1 Akali head hunter skin (Did not want, did not own)

Now, together, only one skin I wanted, ahri, and the value of the other 3 combined for about 30 bucks. SOOOO I mashed together, a legendary, for 1820rp, a reg for 975rp, and an epic for 1335 rp and got a olaf skin worth 500 rp (and i dont even own the champ) Got a 100 essence extra, as pity i guess, as well.

In the end, i was better off just trashing them all and collecting the essence, it really ruined the excitement for me, and killed my stomach thinking how much time it took to acquire them, and how valuable they were, all for a really awful skin of a champ i dont even own, personally I believe i should have been at least guaranteed an epic skin for what i gave up, but hey thats how it goes.

Now you may say, well that's just bad luck... But i think its just bad odds. Imagine how many skins are available, now picture the few skins you actually want, or the champs you frequently play, the odds of randomly getting that skin perm. are pretty bad, so its just better to get something rather then nothing, which is what happened to me.

Just learn from my mistakes, when it comes to skins, just take the essence.

Thanks for reading.

This is a gamble system, dont conplain about the chance of winning a big price is small, the chance is free.

Why didn't you just combine the 3 you didn't want to unlock the Ahri one you did want?

Btw if you wanna see a funny video. A guy named redmercy spent 500 bucks on chest and keys. It's on YouTube.

rerolling skins is really more for a situation where you are sitting on quite a lot of fragments, plenty of essence, and nothing you want to craft. At that point you'd look at rerolling some of what you have to try and increase you chances of something desirable for you.

I'm not sure how rerolls work in terms of skin quality, if its completely random or if rerolls using higher quality skins yield higher quality, or what, but assuming randomness then you'd save your cheap skins for the rerolls and disenchant the pricier ones, etc.

Either way I think the crafting system was an incredible idea, despite all the baggage that comes with it (premade loot rates, behavior, etc), and really enjoy having an excuse to branch out and queue in with some of my less played champs
