Tribunal Recognition?

Hi,

I was just wondering. With the IP rewards removed from Tribunal (which are fine), is there some way of recognizing people that put their time and effort into Tribunal work? I'm sure someone out there has a good idea on that, and the standard things include summoner icons, ward skins, champion skins, or simply RP/IP. I was just thinking it might be a good time for it with the season coming to a close.

I have to admit, I disagree. The whole point of the Tribunal is to improve the community out of the goodness of your heart, we've already seen that with an incentive (IP) the cases are less accurate.

as nice as this would be, this would then bring up the debate about whether people are just doing it for rewards or actually caring about the game. Now if they did decide to give something at the end of the season randomly as a surprise that would be cool but then people might start to think that they are expected to get something again further down the road.

so yeah it would be cool but I think it is highly unlikely.

The problem is that spamming punish generally will result in a "good" justice rating on the Tribunal.

The reason for this is that much of the LoL community is composed of crybaby whiny kids that probably use the phrase "I'm telling the teacher!" regularly in a typical day of their lives.

The percentages are relevant in the Tribunal judge demographics as well: most people judging the cases are the same way. Most people, for that matter, who "report" people are like this.

Cases where someone simply makes some offhand comment that might be loosely deemed "mean" or "offensive" regularly result in negative Tribunal votes (i.e., votes for "Punish".)

TL;DR: If you offer rewards for the Tribunal, people will just log in and spam Punish. Because of the kiddie-kid whiny-baby nature of the LoL-community at large, this will actually give them a positive rating and net them rewards... resulting in a snowball effect where more bans are handed out, more people are reported for silly things, etc., and on and on... and on.

This would be awesome! Maybe if they do over 50-100 reviews with a higher accuracy rate of 60% they can get a summoner Icon of such! Love this idea!

Yes the main problem is that over 80% of Tribunal cases I've read actually deserve a ban. So most people will usually just spam Punish and still get this. I agree with montyElGato

Yeah, I'm not talking an immediate reward for doing like 20 cases. I'm talking what if a person has worked several cases - like maybe over 500 or something? I dunno. That represents some time. I'm not saying it should always happen, nor should it be something announced, but it would be nice to have a random surprise once in awhile. Even a random: "Hey thanks, good job!" would be better than nothing. (Actually, most Tribunal people get worse than nothing - people complain that they spam punish, are 12 year olds, are robots, and so on).

I think the rewards should be released possibly every week depending if the summoner fulfills the requirements such as a high acc. rating per week, how many cases have you completed. Its an interesting incentive to brighten the community in my opinion.
