Anyone know why wired connection would have issues but wifi would be fine?

The wired connection of my college was working great before yesterday night. I could listen to Spotify and stream with OBS with no problems. Then the moment my friend invites me to ranked 5s, we lose the first game because my ping shoots up mid game, I start lagging, and eventually I get attempting to reconnect (I wasn't streaming and I closed Spotify). I had been playing games throughout the day on the wired connection too.

In the middle of the game after reconnecting 3 times I decided to try using the college Wifi and all my issues are gone. We went on to a 5 game winning streak after :), but wtf.

Also, the wired connection still works fine with everything else but League.
