Should not caring be ban worthy in ranked?

I believe that this is a very controversial subject. I know that a lot of people believe that this is just a game and some that think more of it. My opinion is that yea in norms or any other game type its okay to not take it seriously but when your in a ranked i believe you should. I don't know how many times i have gotten into a tanked with someone and they don't change the way their play style just because "they don't care". In ranked yes it is a game but it's held to higher standards. You shouldn't give up just because its just a game when others are very passionate for this game. Most of the time some people do care about this game but their mentality can be broken just by tilting. I don't i think there are many arguments both sides can use but what do you guys think?
