Project Team Is Full Ad

Eh... she's not that terrible with something like a TF and I think the new titanic hydra might work with her well enough. Sure she has AP scalings, but she doesn't really build AP save for the 2-3 people who take her top/mid and build her as an AP bruiser. Her ap scaling isn't that wonderful save for her ult and once she goes all in, you need to make the most of those 2-4 AAs you get off as your spells aren't going to contribute that much damage.

Basically if you are going to stand there and wail away, if you are ahead enough to buy a little AD, it's probably not going to kill you.

Also if you are playing linebacker instead of all in, your primary concerns are locking down whoever is diving on your carry (your kit does that well enough) followed by making sure they die as quickly as possible. BC is a great way for her to help an ADC take down another tank and it lets her skills come up that much faster.

It comes down to what and how you want to/need to play a situation.
