Riot makes almost a billion a year off of paying players, but won't have Harrowing...?
Like the title suggests, Riot Games made almost a billion in microtransactions in 2014. Microtransactions, for those who don't know, are based primarily on players who buy a certain amount of RP here and there. Like one player decides to get $10 worth of RP, another, $5. The next day, more players buy random amounts. And they generate so much from players, new and old and have not satisfied a large playerbase who simply want their traditions to occur when they are supposed to. As for new players, I'm sure some have given a lot (myself, included) to want to see the Harrowing. And to keep such a playerbase happy and continuing to shell out so much money that League of Legends is number ONE in microtransactions, Riot should respond AT LEAST to why there is no event this year for the millions of people who anticipated it after Worlds.
Who's to say old players, disappointed that League is apparently going down the drain, won't leave and take their money elsewhere? Who's to say new players won't feel the same because there are so many other options and they just started aka nothing to lose?
If you want those numbers to go up Riot, I suggest you get your act together and remember who is paying for your luxuries outside of work and who will continue to support your business unless you refuse to do your job properly.
