WTB some freaking essence for hextech crafting

I've got everything for thresh lvl 7 accept the essence or permanent shard and a tahm waiting for the same things to get to lvl 6. There hasn't been a problem getting chests either, every time i open a chest i get a worthless skin and thats usually it. and i think i've opened 5 or 6 chests in the last week.

am i just unlucky or are the odds of rolling some essence or champ shards so crappy that ill never see either?
