Any good APC's?

Hello everyone,

I main ADC, but I enjoy playing other roles (mainly mid and top). After stepping back and looking iver my champ pool, I'm seen a staggering lack of good old "classic" mage APC's with the exception of Ryze, who I play top. I have AP champions, but they're all assassins (akali, diana, kat, fizz, etc.). So, I've been wondering what some good APC's are that I can pick up to expand my playstyle. I've been looking mainly at Syndra and Swain, but if there's any other options, please reccomend them! Include their pros and cons as well.

Thank you.

Ahri Doesn't have to be mid, does well with support to compensate for her low MS. I guess anyone you play mid could also be played bot...Akali Velkoz

Nidalee Diana Tristana I suppose are focused more on damage than cc.

Orianna is bread and butter mid lane; you can also go with Ziggs, Xerath, Lux, Brand, Anivia, Vel'Koz, Twisted Fate, etc.

Lulu, Karma, Zilean are good too, but they kind of have strong early/mid games and become more support late game.

You can also just play Ryze mid; he's my go-to mid laner right now, he's still super strong (I mean, he's still Ryze).

Get Viktor, and watch as you half a person's health bar with one e or melt entire teams with your ult

Try out whoever rotates onto the free week; Malzahar's currently up, though he isn't for everyone. Mid lane is actually in a really balanced state right now, so whoever tickles your fancy should be a fine choice!

Veigar Is actually insanely strong. Though being one of the few immobile mages is a big downer.

He's strong vs most mids (Due to his Ultimate scaling off of their max AP), and works really well in teamfights. Plus, he's one of the best pseudo supports in the game in my opinion. As weird as it sounds, if you go Targon's then start farming your Q on the occasional cannon minion, you'll see your pokes start to hurt early on. (Though you get his E first as support).

Going back to his teamfights, he demolishes the enemy APC with his R - Q. He can stun or trap the whole enemy team with his E, and get in some decent damage with his W. Plus, his E is a good disengage tool!

Though once again, him being immobile makes Veigar very easy to pick off, and he's incredibly squishy.

Veigar The single-target nuke is arguably the best in the game. I just did some practice farming in a custom game and added over 400dmg to his Q alone. His AP ratios are terrifying and his E can secure victory in a teamfight.

The only drawbacks are a weak early game and no natural escapes. Otherwise, if you're looking for the AP overlord of doom -look no further.

Yeah, Syndra is awesome, but the learning curve is steep. So be ready for that. I like using her a good bit as well.

Haven't played Swain, but I've played against him and his lane bullying post-6 is really bad for morale. I hate laning against him. I've only won lane against him with Heimer.
