Gold 5 question
I know it might be odd to ask but.. i recently got myself to gold (yay!). But i was wondering, can you get demoted back to silver ? Not that i play that bad , just don't want to risk to get dropped back. Thanks in advance.

Once your in your in! I was a little scared when I got into gold but I've been climbing with no problems just flamers/giveups but that's it.
You can drop back down yes. Same as a silver can drop back to bronze or a challenger drop to master tier.
You can - but it's sort of difficult. Not counting Masters/Challenger, dropping tiers without inactivity, which only applies to plat and above, is pretty hard unless you're straight inting and throwing games.
As long as your mmr is decent, and you can easily tell this by how much LP you gain vs how much you lose, it'll take about 8-10 losses in a row at 0 LP. If you're scared that the demote is coming, you can check your profile page in the client, and there will be a "shield" near your rank. If you hover over it, it'll say you're being shielded from being demoted. If that's there, you gotta start winning prettttttty soon. If you're afraid of getting demoted back to silver, and you have the shield, you can just stop playing ranked entirely. Gold has no inactivity decay penalty. :)
So the tl;dr - if there's no shield by your rank you're no where near being demoted down a whole tier.
