Why type report messages if there is no Tribunal?

So i used to read tribunal cases (back when there was a tribunal) and you could always read the notes left by the players that reported them. They were always really helpful when real life people were reading them,but now that there is the new system/program in place that replaced the tribunal, is there a reason to add notes on why you reported a player anymore? Since there's basically no one reading them unless in those extremely rare cases where riot has to step in, which basically never happens.

  • There's a youtube vid of a riot panel at pax 2013 or 2014 i can't remember which but it was around the time of twitch and karthus updates when they described the new system that replaced the tribunal and how it works. (anyone that has that youtube vid id like you to post it so i can refresh my memory)

TL;DR my question is: Why type report messages when there is no Tribunal of summoners to read them?

Because it helps the actual people who read the reports who work for Riot. Not only are extreme cases are read by someone at Riot, im sure most (not all) reports are read by someone.

I mean if you feel that way by all means dont write anything. I feel that my reports are read by someone, granted not all of them because i know the system can detect say someone who does nothing but curse in all chat all the time than actually playing the game. i shouldnt need to write in my reports that said person was cursing 24/7 when the system can use some type of filter to see how often they were writing and what they wrote. Or if someone is leaving the game (afk/staying at base) i shouldnt need to write it because Leavebuster knows this person didnt finish their game, or stayed at based for x amount of mins!
