OKay, this post might come off as a little salty but i am really frustrated mainly with the supports that skip buying sightstone, and also the supports that delay buying sightstone in favor of their support item upgrade Do you realize why rito created these items? as a slot efficient build path for sightstone and your support item? If you're a support player and you buy sightstone first, both your bot lane partner and your jungler appreciate u fam.

ok not going to disagree with the sightstone is a must buy.. but the new items.. item 2301 item 2302 item 2303 .. are all crap frankly

You clearly dont know much about support. Not every single Support is Janna Soraka who are purely utility picks. Some supports can actually be lane bullies and want more skirmishing power. item 2049 is a great first buy on Soraka/Janna champions, however it isnt always the best. To begin with item 3097 item 3098 item 3096 all give you more passive gold, and sometimes when you have 500g instead of 400g, it is much more appealing than just getting a ruby crystal. What you buy on your backs is incredibly dependant on how much gold you back with, just like laners. Saying to get a sightstone every single time is just flat out ignorant. If im playing Zyra Blitzcrank Nautilus type champions who can dominate their lane, and i have well over 1000g, im likely going to buy more health or AP and snowball my lane and get myself and my adc fed. Theres no reason to buy a sightstone if youre backing with such excessive gold, you simply wont snowball with it. ALSO you COMPLETELY ignore the fact sightstone is only 100g cheaper than item 3117 item 3009 , which both give you amazing roaming power and can be game changing. If im on Blitzcrank i quite frankly never get sightstone until i have Relic Shield (or Frostfang if im feeling zesty) and Mobis/Swiftis. TLDR; There are plenty of high elo supports who delay their sightstone for faster powerspikes, do not listen to OP as long as you know the situations in which to get sightstone and when to buy more skirmishing power.

I'd tend to disagree with Sightstone before the first support upgrade.

The first upgrade on the support items provide an immediate gold boost, and cost only 500 gold.

After that, though, it's as "gold efficient" as it's going to get to grab the Sightstone.

item 2049 yes item 2303 item 2302 item 2301 ---I won't get. item 3401 item 3069 item 3092 ---actives are too good to pass up. maybe if they let us place 4 wards at once, even then probably not.

I would also like to put out a PSA to our bot lane partners.

item 3340 this item is not for decoration. Use it early game please. Supports get 2 charges early game that expire like everyone else. I get you're focused on your farm fellow ADCs, but take two seconds to ward a bush at least so we don't get ganked or Thresh pulled.

Also junglers, it's everyone's job to ward the dragon, and again, support wards expire like everyone else's. If I warded the dragon two minutes ago, it's going to expire soon. I cannot stress enough that support wards expire the same as non support wards, and we can only have three up at a time.

I'm so tired of people complaining there is vision on the map and looking at the end game screen to see I did over 70% of the warding. Supports are not ward machines, our job is map control. If you're complaining about vision, you better be doing the most warding and your support better be a 3/0/0 AP Brand.

There's a reason I became a support main. You'll never realize how many times when I'm not supporting, my support never gets a sightstone. Then loses because of lack of vision.

"I can just use my trinket!!!! :)))))))))" <--- typical excuse.

I don't know about you, but 800 gold and a slot for a good deal of vision is very worth.

Sightstone is literally GARBAGE this season. No reason to buy it or the upgrades on anyone ever. As a Support, just pick up a pink ward and youre good to go.

Anyone who buys sightstone this season is just hindering their build. No reason to buy it on any support.
