Proposal for @Riot Games

(please read to the end of the article)

I bought Gangplank the day before the BMB event ended. On The final day of the event, sometime after midnight, I played a game using Gangplank in the BMB game mode. This game, despite being in the game mode exclusive to the event, was after the event, and therefore did not count towards the receival of the Captain Gangplank skin. I hereby, not knowing that the game was after the time limit of the event, made a ticket. In which I was notified of my undoing.

Can you see my confusion? I propose to Riot that they create a system to notify players when the timing of an event has ended. I understand that an event will continue to exist in the client until the player's client is patched. Therefore there should be a prompt, similar to the "I agree" prompt from leaverbuster, that will force players not currently in a game to acknowledge that any further actions that would have allowed the player to receive a time restricted reward have been removed.

It could say: (event) has ended, and any rewards from this event can no longer be gained. Please type in the box below: I understand

I grant that I may be mistaken, but I thought they announced the time of the event ending pretty clearly.

I mean i could see it for people who refuse to go on the website. But then again you have various places that tell you when the event is going to end. If you decide not to use what is given to you then the fault is with you. You really only have yourself to blame since they gave about a week notice of this promotion, plus the fact you waited till the last minute do actually participate in said promotion.

All in all while it would be nice to have something on the client. you do have other places that tell you outright when the event will end. If you arent using that then its your fault!
