What are towers now?

When they become useless 25 mins in against anyone who has a health/tank item :| you cant really use them to help defend your base against a snowballed team ether as they can just dive under it while the turret does nothing to them i really cant rely on them any more to help save me unless tis super early game an even then some comps can just dive a turret early game an live anyway
