Classic Kalista's visuals are so bland
There's nothing interesting about it; I feel like there should be more personality to it. When I first played Kalista, I sorta had fun. (This was when she was first released). Soon after I had this biting temptation that I never experienced before with a new champion. I wanted the release skin very badly. I wanted it because Kalista is bland. It looks like a spooky nidalee with only 2 bland colors. Then it hit me all the sudden. Riot did this to sell Blood Moon Kalista. That is hardcore sellout. I buy skins because I like a certain champ, not so I can make it visually worth looking at.

skin though, it's nice that she's wearing black armor and that sells how combat-ready and warrior-like she is. She's vicious, and it shows well in the splash art. It's really cool. However the funny thing about her is that she's a spirit. They've certainly sold the "spooky spirit" looks on her classic skin, but when around 60% of a character's model is obscured by a blue haze it becomes strange to look at. She's really hard to compare to other characters. You can even see the haze through walls. She's basically a walking ghost that fires ghostly stuff at you.
Thankfully her voice and character are great and sell her character well enough, which is another reason why Blood Moon is awesome: it still is Kalista.
