Has Riot improved the tribunal system to ban intentional feeders?

First off, I do want to thank Riot. I think they've done a great job thus far of weeding out toxic players - the player base is never going to be perfect, but so far they've had awesome results with banning/chat restricting those who need it the most.

HOWEVER, I'm still concerned about how they're addressing AFK'ers or even worst, intentional feeders. Players like this WILL ruin the game for the whole team, and a mute button can't stop them :(.

Just as an example, a game I recently played in (name crossed out because no name and shame here). http://puu.sh/gsuT4/714f2d7534.jpg

Now, I may just be speaking for myself here, but I would 10x have rather had a toxic player who I could've ignored than the Twisted Fate which intentionally fed. This and intent AFK's are worse than flamers or ragers. I remember Lyte mentioning a couple months back that they were working on a solution for this, but never heard about it after that. I'd be great to know if we could receive an update about how it's going.

Just a question for the community in the meantime: Between AFKs/Intent Feeders and Flamers, which situation do you believe is more serious, and which would you rather play with on your team? Please help me bump this if you'd like an answer from Riot about this :) Thanks.

I would most prefer to be stuck in a game with an afk, that way, they aren't flaming at the team or making the enemy stronger

For anyone interested, here's the official post by Lyte about the system to deal with intentional feeders:

Lyte - 26 Aug 2014

Starting 8/26/2014 in North America, we’ll be rolling out a test system capable of immediately escalating extreme intentional feeders straight to a 14-day or permanent ban. Like our other punishment systems, we’ll start with conservative tests to minimize false positives, and then expand the system to be more aggressive. As with our other experiments, depending on the results, we’ll roll out similar tests to the other servers.

Regarding the guy in your game, I looked him up (not hard with the available info, even though you crossed out his name) to see if he had a history of doing this a lot. Nothing in the past 2 weeks shows anything as blatant as what he did in your game. While Lyte said they do want their system to be somewhat aggressive, I doubt they'd set it to autoban a single offense. A first offense may set a flag on the account for a second or third incident to trigger the ban. Or maybe this guy's already been banned. Maybe he has done this before, over 2 weeks ago. That feeding game hours ago was his last activity today. I guess he could've just logged off for now.

But anyway, speculation doesn't mean much. The topic's interesting enough, though. Updates on the Tribunal and automated punishment system progress are always welcome, so hopefully Lyte or Wookiee have something ready to show us soon.
