To those who are irritated with the new look at yordles

I'm going to take a scientific look as to what explains the look that riot is taking when it comes to the yordles. I have seen a lot of posts complaining that they are all too hyper, too ditsy, and that its becoming bland across the board. There is a scientific explanation for this actually.

From a physiological standpoint the smaller a creature is the faster their body works. For example a standard house mouse has a heart rate somewhere between 300 and 800 beats per minute. Compare that to the average 70 to 100 beats per minute of a human. Their breathing rate is also extremely amplified in comparison as well where they take 80 to 200 breaths per minute, again compared to the average human of 20 breaths per minute. Granted that these are average values and are resting values to boot you can see a prety huge difference here.

Yordles wouldn't be as huge a difference as a mouse would but there would be some definite differences between the human and yordle behaviorism. They would have more energy more of the time. They would always be hyper and always be wanting to move. They would burn energy like a firecracker in comparison to the humans that they are around. Granted that there would also be exceptions to this rule, this would be the norm. Yordles would also wear out faster than humans, which means they would probably sleep for 2-4 hours at a time but would sleep 2-3 times a day. This means that they would likely be up in the morning long before their friends, and fall asleep after breakfast and be good to go until around dinner time and then good to go again until around midnight and fall asleep again. The way their society would have been constructed around this activity pattern would mean that bandle city would have been an all day all night city and that productivity would have been high around the clock. They would either have great eyesight to compensate for the fact that they spent long hours of the night awake, which is why they have big eyes.

The question is raised about most animals on the planet, regardless of size, sleeping once per day. This is true of every animal that has a natural predator. Yordles wouldn't necessarily have had a natural predator and so they would have been able to rest when they were tired not while hiding from a predator.

Going back to the evaluation, Yordles, because of their lifestyle, would be excellent at switching tasks at a moments notice as they would have to do that a lot in their society. Their attention span may suffer as a result of this fact as they wouldn't be accustomed to spending more than a couple intense hours on a large project, and menial tasks would merit much less attention.

In the case of Poppy, where she is spending much of her time in Demacia, she would be seen as a very active person, and she would think that the humans around her were sluggish and slow. While she may be accustomed to this, it wouldn't change the fact that she operates with much more energy than them.

I actually like the new look of them, can't wait for some soon-to-be bandle city event

The only thing I don't like is how fuzzy/furry they are.

So to simplify, Yordle personalities are similar to Human children.
