I guess I'm reporting myself

First off I'd like to explain the situation, and in order to understand the situation you'd have to understand what I do for a living. I'm an emergency responder of sorts. Not an EMT but of a similar field, and when I get an emergency call its life or death. That being said I rarely get calls from my job so I usually get to play league without problem. Tonight that wasn't the case.

I was in the middle of a ranked game and we were about 25 minutes in. We had just dropped one of their inhibs and were looking for one or two more pushes before finishing the game. I got a call and I absolutely had to leave. I knew that this would result in my team being outnumbered and out golded and that they would likely lose after putting so much effort into the match. So instead of just disconnecting and leaving I had a friend of mine take over my account. This technically is against Riot policies and I know I risk a ban but I made the decision not to leave the team hanging.

I would like to get a quick reply from Riot to let me know my fate please. Also, being a streamer I have footage of the match to show what happened if Riot really wants to know about it.

I understand your point, and I commend you. You broke the rules, even for your team's benefit in a situation beyond your control, and you're still taking responsibility.

I doubt you'll get too harshly punished for this, especially with this upfront taking of responsibility.

Good luck!

I have a friend of mine that did the same thing, but i think that's not something to worry, if you are in the ''same'' elo. I mean if you are bronze 4 and your friend is bronze 2 it wont affect the game really. In low elo people snowball more easily because people don't know how to conter it really. I think that if you dced from the game and no one take the account while you are gone is more dramatic then let a friend end the game you started. Because the people you were with could report you and you could end with a leave buster for having a thing IRL that was more importent then a game. I think you made the good choice. FOR DEMARCIAAAAAAAAAAA

No one cares about reports, least of all Riot.

The "safe" thing to do for your account is just AFK. You'll get leaver busted, and you might have to sit through a wait before you queue up next, but your account won't get banned.

You're fine, that rule's mostly in place to stop elo boosting. Riot can tell the difference between a single play session and elo boosting, so they won't ban you. It is technically against the rules but no-one's going to enforce the rules at that level.

um dude, do me a favour and pretend you just got slapped in the face really hard ok? remember, this is JUST A GAME. if you got something rather IMPORTANT TO DO like save lives, mother is crying, someone just died, gunshots, fire (examples)... dont fucking fret. its unrealistic that EVERYONE has an hour of constant time for each game. yeah, you're slightly responsible for seeing a bit ahead and not joining games when you know you gotta leave within 30 minutes but sometimes shit comes up. simply, type in all chat if you must that " I gotta go. sorry. life. stuff happens". if you get banned for it, especially if youve got one hell of a credible excused, you could most like sue riot for stealing your money if you invested into this game. especially if it was to save lives.
