Elo boosting "Friend" requests have to stop.

I'm SURE I'm not the only person getting this. Every time I log on I have about 3 or 4 friend requests. When I accept them they just post advertise an Elo boosting site then instantly unfriend me.

I have to start just declining friends requests, because some guy wants to get free advertisement.

League Of Legends Isn't some cheep website that needs ads in their client, Its the most popular online game in the world.

You guys are way above letting people do this Riot. There needs to be a system that bans accounts for doing this.

It didn't bother me that much at first. It was just once a day at max. As of yesterday tho I have gotten 12+ a day

It's not an easy fix unless they limit how many friend requests lower level accounts can send at a time until:

accepted or a certain time period.

Additionally getting level 30's is easy for people who bot, so this would only slow down but not fix the problem. The problem is when you try to attack issues like these you end up hurting the community as well. Banning them is difficult since there are many ways around it. Although they lose accounts the sole purpose of those accounts were to advertise and were disposable to begin with. Either way you look at it every game has these issues because it's impossible to clear it 100%. You can crack down on it harder but the more you go after it the more the community also suffers draw backs. Food for thought.

They can also find you the more you post on here.... that's how bots really work. So just sayin.

There needs to be a "block" button along with accept and decline. The way it is right now you have to type their name out to block them, since they instantly unfriend you and you can't copy and paste their name from chat. Simply declining won't work as the same account will just add you again.

Then just stop accepting friend requests.

You've got that right!

Normally I get 1-2 of these per day. But as soon as I got into a promo series, I started getting 4-5 per day. This is so annoying.

I kinda would love it if they friended me, sent me a random champion (I still need a ton) and then spammed me. at least I'll get something out of the deal... speaking of which, taking all random champion donations :D

I very much agree. It isnt always elo boosting, its like other business ads too!

Got like four of them this morning including work from home spam.

It didnt either at first. But then loads of invites would come every time I logged on. I am assuming this is the aftermath for overall rework of the Refer-A-Friend Reward System.

They should make it to where you have to be equal or higher level to send someone a friend request.
