Be sure to know at least 2 roles and be proficient with them.

Have multiple champs for each role

Know what runes and masteries you will use for each champ for each role before you start a queue

Remember, objectives are the top priority if you have to choose between getting a kill, or getting a tower, go for the tower.

Also remember, you dont have to kill your opponents. If you force them to back, thats fantastic l. Keep farming while they are wasting time going back.

DO NOT DIVE, UNLESS YOU ARE 1000% SURE OF GETTING THE KILL WITHOUT DYING.

A general tip i use is that if i cabt see the enemy on the map, i assume they are all coming for me, and i back off

Hope this helps

Here is what to expect if you don't win 7/10 placement matches.

  1. 4v5 matches
  2. Trolls
  3. Ragequitters
  4. All of the Above.

Just jump right in. Ranked games are nothing different from normal games, but with more flame (because more pressure).

I personally believe that the very best way to getting better is mastering 1 champion you enjoy, and then playing that champion whenever possible. Here's an outdated but still relevant video about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9Jz4Jo4em0

My best advice is to not jump to ranked just because you hit lvl 30, as it isn't really enough time to get your head around everything that you need to know.

With this new queue you will have an easier chance of picking what you know how to play though, so you don't need to know a bit of everything, at least.

tip one.. how about staing out of ranked.. till

500 normal wins, season 7.... and you get your first PVP pentakill... 2-4 whole rune pages Mastered at least 1 champion in every role..

I got them all down and I'm still like "SCREW RANKED I HATE IT"
