MMORPG Idea based on LoL's Diverse Champions
Something that I haven't seen a big MMORPG done lately is have a huge diversity of hero races / species. I think this adds a lot of customization to the game that people want. I'm sick of seeing the same old Humans, Elves, Orcs, Dwarf, Undead type characters ( yes I realize some MMOs have a few others ). The original idea came to me part from an old game Age of Wonders, although an RTS, you could be a variety of cool races.
The heroes' abilities could be champion based like in LoL, or they could be customized, learned in the game through training or spellbooks/other means of learning. Possibly have 1-2 unique passive or active abilities for each different champion type and then the others are learned.
I've always wanted to do this while playing some big MMORPGs like WoW. Just thinking what if I wanted to play this out as an Ogre, or a Lizardman, or a Kobold Assassin. What if I wanted to be a Golem, or a Centaur while I grind quests or raid, or go through dungeons.
