Aatrox?

TL;DR Aatrox is in a bad spot.

Hello everyone. I am just having some thoughts about Aatrox and was wondering if anyone might help me out. Is Aatrox ever going to be updated? I really like him (enough to have champion mastery with him [even though I may be bad with him/in general], but he seems pretty lackluster. I would say he has been lackluster even before preseason started (he hasn't been good in ages) and I would say that many people agree with me (there are others making posts about Aatrox, but to no avail [they don't seem to receive feedback from Rioters]). Where does he even stand (is he a juggernaut, etc.)? Does Riot have any plans to try to help Aatrox out? I realize there are multiple updates in the pipes (large and small), but is Aatrox one of them? Any help answering any of these questions would be great.
