Those who transfer to other servers/regions

So something has been bothering me lately... I have noticed that the number of players that do not speak English is on the rise again on the NA servers. I personally have a hard time understanding why. I personally wouldnt transfer to a server or region where I didnt know the primary language, yet others do. It makes no sense to me.

I have nothing against anyone from other countries, ethnicity, or languages... except when they affect my games, in particular ranked games. Communication in ranked is important and when one of your teammates doesnt understand a word of English while everyone else does it is a pretty big problem. Just today I played a ranked game, everyone in champion select spoke up about the roles and lanes they wanted except one of us. That person was our second pick and he locked in lee sin. considering Jungle was the only role remaining we figured thats why he was choosing lee. Except as select went on his summoner spells, flash and ignite, did not change. At this point we had all pretty much picked and were saying take smite lee and such thinking thats why he took him. No response from lee sin, and the game started without his summoner spells getting switched for smite...

We get into game, everyone heads to their lanes and after a little bit so does lee... heading for top lane... apparently he wanted to go top. How were we supposed to know? He didnt say a single thing in select and since he had picked lee we all figured he was going to jungle as that is where lee is typically taken... We were all frustrated at this point and try to get an answer of some kind from lee... no response. Even if it was someone under chat restriction they have the ability to say things every now and then. Halfway down top lane lee realizes the problem and heads for jungle... That was great and all but he had no smite, which means no machete and no real way to do his first clear. Needless to say everything went downhill from there and through the entire game lee never said a word.

But how does this have anything to do with people transferring to other servers? allow me to answer that. While I will not give his entire name it is not necessary that I do for the tell tale sign of a server transfer was already there. The lees name started with Temporaryname followed by random numbers and letters. That is what your account is assigned when you transfer to another server.

Like I said before, I have absolutely nothing against others that do not speak english... but if you are playing a videogame that relies heavily on communication and transfer to a server you cant communicate with... there is a pretty big issue. Not only is your experience going to be poor it is also going to be negative for those that are matched up with these players, especially in ranked. While I know it is hard and quite likely not possible to prevent players from transferring to other servers but it sure would be nice if there were some kind of warning or popup that mentions the fact that by transferring you are putting yourself at risk for being reported if you can not speak the language of the server you are transferring to. It is pretty much the same as refusing to communicate if you can not communicate in the first place. I think so at least

im going to help you out, and you are going to feel like an ass.

Sometimes people move from another country to the united states and canada, OR to anywhere that the NA server is the closest one with the best ping. SOMETIMES they travel for long term work, like on oil rigs, and transfer their account to the nearest server...SHUT YOUR FACE, America is for everyone and their is no national language here because we are a nation of immigrants (except native americans) So curb your yammering skull cave

I actually ran into that a couple of times, it didn't cause as large of an issue for us in the games as the person was typically last pick, but still was an issue during game communication.

I don't personally understand why people would do that either. Back before the server move and I had to play on ping that on my best day was in the high 80s, the suggestion we were given was to transfer to LAN, I dealt with the bad ping and lack spikes because it would have been impossible for me to communicate with the other people as I don't speak Spanish, I can't understand why people wouldn't have the same courtesy when transferring to the NA server. The primary language is English, predominantly in the continental server, yet I have games where a player can only speak German, or Spanish, or French in some cases.
