At the time of writing this I am currently one of the slowly growing number of Honor 3 players. I opened my first capsule today and got 5 key fragments. I now have an all-time low of 7 chests sitting in my hextech crafting inventory.
I can now look forward to maybe one day having 0 chests without having to spend money on keys!

You get 4 chests per month. Riot also said you get enough keys to open them per month and more depending on how much you play. I have never had a problem with keys, ever. I have patience and a full wallet because of it. Play more, win more, get plenty of keys, or pay real money for virtual shit. More power to you. I never will buy a key or a chest because you don't have to.

You can argue till your blue in the face and anyone can lie on the internet. You are not winning enough. You get enough key frags (12) to open your chests per month (cycle) so stop with the conspiracy theories. Have a nice day.

Seriously, I wish they'd do some adaptive system that checks what you're short on (or typically short on) and gave you that from Capsules instead of more keys I won't use for another year.

I'm personally fine with it. I've got more than enough skins (on phone right so I can't send pictures of skins)

Riot loses nothing more by giving specialists more chests from Honor Capsules than they lose from giving keys to generalists. If anything, they potentially gain from doing so. If I unlocked a really cool skin for a champion I don't play, I'd play that champion for a bit to use the skin. That's a chance for me to get to know and like that champion, and thus buy more skins for them.

While Riot catered to people having a shortage of one (what the OP is happy about) they ignored those having a shortage of the other.

As it stands Hextech Crafting is basically dead to me, becoming relevant for events like the Light and Dark, but that's it. I'm not "crying" about it, merely pointing out a flaw with it.
