I have waited so long to get to my gold promos and to finally hit gold. Making it through silver 1 was a breeze and won all the matches. As soon as I hit my promos every went to complete crap. My team everygame fed and fed and fed. I have lost 2 of my gold promos today and have not won a match in either. I feel so depressed atm and dont even know why I have come here to whine about it rather than to let my feeling out.
Lol. Same thing happened to me getting through Bronze 1, where I was placed this season. Failed the promos, proceeded to fall all the way to Bronze 3, then climbed back up (slowly) and I'm now Silver 5. Don't let it get you down, man. This kinda thing happens to everyone at some point. Take a break, detilt yourself, then try it again. You still have about half a month to win these promos, and even if you don't want the Maokai skin, you'll always be placed at least 1 tier below where you were last year, so getting into gold this year means less work for you to do next year to get into plat!

just remember the actual point of the game is to have fun and enjoy it.
here is a though about rank...
rank isnt something to be ashamed of. i feel rank is just a way for riot to put players of similar skill levels vs each other so they can have fair games and enjoy and have fun playing the game... hear me out...
you are bronze.. what if every game you matched vs plats and diamonds? and you get stomped up and down the map and the game is no fun to you.. are you likely to keep playing if that is what happens every time?
on the other hand if your plat/diamond whatever "high" elo if you playing vs people lower skill level then you is that fun not every being challenged? it would be like if you were to go play a game co op vs bots or a custom game vs bots and the difficult is set on easy?
how fun is that?
so in theory rank is there to put us vs people we have a chance to win against while being challenged so the game is fun and rewarding at the same time and keeps you playing..
Best advice is to take a break.
