If you mute someone, they should not be able to hear you.

The problem arose when playing with a toxic player. It does not bother me that much, but when I talk in chat and they think I can read their text, they just get more angry. We should be able to block all communications with someone in game.

So much yes. This also solves the problem of toxic players? oh you cant stop talking shit but wanna improve so you mute everyone but then let something slip like a good old fashioned fuck you? no worries they cant hear you. Need something important like your jungler trying to give mid blue? unmute real quite and verb in chat (if pings arent enough, which they should usually be).

Hmm, I never thought about that. I wouldn't even know they were getting more angry, their raging is why I muted them. I guess it would be okay, although I had a support the other day that I muted but later I thanked him for a good ult in team chat. I have no idea how he took it 'cause he was still muted. I guess I could unmute for the rare instance like that.

i was fairly certain that it already worked this way? every time someone tells me im 'muted' they stop showing up in my chat. unless they mute me and suddenly stop talking.
