Question about ranked placement for season 6

When season 5 ended, I think i was either silver 4 or 5. I then proceeded to climb to gold 4 during preseason. What effects does preseason ranking have on my season 6 rank? Any help would be appreciated.

Basically, your initial MMR going into placement matches will be higher.

You're gonna place SIlver 3 or higher if you do good.
