some pretty good tips i've come across to help you roam from mid effectively
- When you want to push your lane to go roaming, you actually don't want to push the minion wave all the way to the tower. You should leave a minion or two behind so that the tower doesn't hit them, otherwise the tower will push the minion wave for the other side and reset the minion wave. Leaving behind a minion or two will give you enough time to go in for a gank.
- If your mid goes off lane, follow them. This gives you the opportunity to counter-gank any gank they may be going to deliver top or bot, or in the jungle.
- If you've won your lane and pushed down your first tower, go to where you're most needed first and help them get their lane progressed.
- If jungle is warded (which it should be pretty frequently) and you see someone in it, chances are they might be trying to counter-jungle, which would need to be stopped if you're not being sorely pressed in your lane.
