My university League of Legends club is looking to try to contact pro players and riot employees to participate (voluntarily) in Q&A and fundraising events. Does anyone know the formal way to contact the people we're interested in? Do pro players have managers who deal with these things? I don't know where to start.
Posting on the forums is a good start to get contact info...
you can also try their twitters - they probably won't give you an answer over twitter, but they might be able to provide you with contact info(or possibly even a follow back so you can DM them more details).
As far as pro players... check their team's website. A lot of them will have a PR contact's name(be it manager, owner, or otherwise) who you can contact for details. They might also have a 'contact us' page with more details.
