luck is a huge factor into games, so many dc's games where everyone goes 2-10 (even posted a pic earlier of me being 13-4 and every teammate going 2-10) . lower elo is honestly harder because of the sway in teammates, i get gold 3 players duoing with silver 4 and both feed (win rate 4-6 together for the first duo 1-6 the second) you litearlly get brought down by how much you have to try to make plays, i had a jungler that went 0-1 as vi at 15 min while the nid is 2-0-2 and snowballing every lane as a gold 3 player with 500 games. Something is def wrong with the mmr system this year because last year i started with a 75% win rate in 40 games on lucian and 60% winrates on my other champs, i didnt magically get worse at the game or it wouldnt be my smurf where i win a maj of games on my main

Yea, luck is a huge factor at elo's where there are so many players. It makes sense, at lower levels of play it's too hard for a system to recognize who's a better player and who's not. Especially considering that lucky results or unlucky results already have people well above or below their skill level, so the game thinks player X should be the best player on blue and should be able to carry against red, but meanwhile player X is the worst player on the map and just had a good stretch of luck while player Y on red was supposed to be their weak link and he's actually the best player on the map and has had some bad luck.

Frankly, having played a handful of ranked games now, I don't think it's skill to get out of lower elo's (unless you're diamond + and should be getting fed against anyone at that elo). Anyone can do it. It's luck. Play enough, you'll get out. What separates higher elo players from lower elo players is that:

higher elo players will win a small amount, maybe 5-10%, more games from the games that were actually close.
once a higher elo player gets out of low elo, they'll stay out and/or continue to climb. Once a lower elo player gets out they'll likely drop back (i.e. they may get to gold 5 and stay in gold, but their mmr will drop back to mid silver or worse and they'll play with those players).
