What do you do with teammates that do not want to cooperate?

Just a general question on what to do when a teammate that does not want to cooperate with the team? Earlier I had a Renekton who only wanted to stay top. He would go top to split and just die. Before, we were winning teamfights with him, but after that he only wanted to stay top. He was all the way pushed to their inhibitors and kept dying over and over, then would rage at us for not getting anything else. Well we couldn't because every time he was pushed we were getting a dragon or was pushed way before we could start to seize anything, since he would dye so easily. I kept asking for him to group with a team but he said he refused to. He even refused to return to base to defend. >.>

But I just want some advice on what to do when a teammate will not cooperate with the team. If he would have waited before splitting or at least warded, I'm sure we could of seized, but he never waited and just kept doing it when we had no waves pushed or were trying to get a dragon.
