How do you get better??

I've played this game for 4 years now, and I can barely make it to gold v. I feel like I should be better mechanically, but I'm not. I'm a mid/support main and no matter what I do, I feel like I can't get better/climb. Right now I've been stuck between silver 4 and 3 and was on a winning streak. Now, I'm on a losing streak.

I'm looking for serious tips.

Ranked is a luck-based joke right now, dont bother.

I can't really offer you anything not stated in this.

I'm not sure if you do this already, but you can try watching some high elo/pro player's streams? They usually explain what they're doing, offer advice, and talk about gameplay and what they should and shouldn't be doing. Even if you don't watch a streamer who plays your preferred role can offer a different viewpoint about the game, and help you understand different roles' functions.

Focus on your own mistakes. Start analyzing your game-play and try and understand why some things you do end up going badly. For example let's say you lost a team fight. Was there anything you could've done? Did you try to dive the adc as Talon but got blown up instantly? What could you have done better? Blaming other people for your losses will never help. There's always something that you need to improve on. You can also watch pro players and reverse-engineer what they do. Try and see why they're doing the things they do and why it's successful.

You have to practice with an eye to getting better.

Just playing, without focus, is stagnation. It can be fine, if you don't care to improve, but it will only get you the background radiation general playerbase improvement speed. Which is very slow.

For mechanics, defensively, try to predict things. Learn windup animations, and be prepared. Anticipation improves reaction speed. Offensively, play and remember what works and what doesn't. Otherwise, the new client has a practice mode.

A big big thing in general is to remember your mistakes, and learn from them. If it's getting you killed repeatedly, it's probably not a good idea. Recognize what is the same action, repackaged.
