@Riot What is the Point of the Limited Check Box in Runes

Riot hasn't made any Limited Edition Runes in years now, what is the point of having this option in the store? Is it possible they will release more? Could this be removed? Leave opinions and theories below, as i'm curious of people's ideas as to why this is still here.
