@RIOT: Colorblindess Suggestion!

I understand you guys have a colorblind mode, which is great for me; kind of. I can see my health bar much better than before. However, I do have red-green color blindness. I have Dichromacy, more specifically, Protanopia. I am much weaker when it comes to red-oriented colors. Such as Blood Moon Thresh's hook, Blood Moon Kalista's passive when she bonds me. I can't exactly see the passive all that well. I did sent a ticket about this to you guys, and the response was to basically make a forum about it. I am going to suggest for you guys to make it more colorblind friendly for users.

The minion health bars blend into the ground of the new Summoner's Rift, so it is a bit harder to see the minion's health bars, for me personally. It would be neat to implement different kinds of colorblindness for those who need it. Deuteranopes, Protanopia, Tritanopes, and Monochromacy. In other words, instead of just "Colorblind Mode" you'd have "Dichromacy Colorblind Mode" and "Tritanopia Colorblind Mode." The colorblind mode is mostly for red-green colorblindess, however, even with that, it is still a bit difficult to see certain skill shots, health bars of the minions. Just little things like that.

Asking for Monochromacy is a bit much, however, there is a chance you'd have someone out there who has Monochromacy. People with monochromatic vision can see no colour at all and their world consists of different shades of grey ranging from black to white, rather like only seeing the world on an old black and white television set. Achromatopsia is extremely rare, occuring only in approximately 1 person in 33,000 and its symptoms can make life very difficult. Usually someone with achromatopsia will need to wear dark glasses inside in normal light conditions.

Tritanopia/Tritanomaly: Missing/malfunctioning S-cone (blue) Deuteranopia/Deuteranomaly: Missing/malfunctioning M-cone (green) Protanopia/Protanomaly: Missing/malfunctioning L-cone (red) Monochromacy: Missing all cones (blue, green, and red)

I know it could also take a lot of effort to create this, but I believe it could help a lot of the colorblind players, such as myself. I hope you guys give me a response on this! I would to hear what you guys think! Please bump this thread and giving it an up-vote so that Riot can notice us!

Seconded. I love the colorblind option. Huge kudos and more games need to do that. Definitely good for me, but I too occasionally have problems. My suggestion:

The most expedient solution would seem to be letting players basically change the colors of the UI and whatnot to whatever they want. Put in color wheels/bars for health bars and ability aiming indicators.

Another thing that occurs to me - perhaps an option for making the segmented lines of health bars, instead of |s, into /s for your team and \s for the enemy team. Or something.

ya i agree not everyone is colorblinded to the same colors so there should be more then one layout for colorblind mode

I believe there should be more options for colorblind players, the current colorblind settings for League of Legends still doesn't help players with different types of colorblindness. It is still extremely difficult for some players to make out skills/spells, see health bars, because it may be completely invisible to them as they cannot make out the colors. For League of Legends, ease of access, accessibility for players should be a top priority.

There are currently 123 champions in League of Legends, even more skins, and even more spells. Some skills/spells may be extremely difficult for players with colorblindness to see, and if they cannot see a skills or spells, it can be a huge disadvantage to them in game. Cassiopeia's Q and Blood Moon Thresh's Q can be extremely hard for players with Protanopia to make out, it would be barely visible and can hinder a players experience in League of Legends.

More options should be made available for players, whether it be sharper outlines for skills/spells. Or individual color palettes that players can adjust. Or just simply more colorblind options for different kinds of colorblindness.

There should be more options! There are different types of colour blindness and there should be different options to cater to all players.

@Riot, please respond. I'd really like to know if there are any plans to help make the colorblind mode more effective for players such as myself.. @.@
