I mean, description of this champ:

Has toxic kit (someone describes it as a "furry ball of stats"), either oppressive or lackluster
Could be under the definition of a "rip-off" in a dictionary (google "Golden compass", if you don't know)
Even his name is practically BEAR

What I'm trying to say, there'se nothing original about him as in lore, as in gameplay. Why did he was even made up? I don't want to be that radical to say DELETE HIM, but honestly, how many people would miss him? For me is just a big scar on the Riot's profile (and actually I would love to see a respond from a Rioter if there was like NOONE who would say "Are you fucking kidding me?!" when you were about to release him, because I just can't believe that!)

Edit: There is a huge difference between an inspiration/archetype and rip-off.

Worst champ in the game conceptually. They literally rushed him in during a week where Zileas wasn't around, because they knew he was shit and wouldn't be let through. Hence the armored bear hater buff for Zilean vs Voli

Well I wouldn't really call his kit toxic. It has a pretty clear win conditions and lose conditions and it is never unfair in any way (think vlad q when it was strong, higher range than most other top laners, lock on sustain and harras, that is toxic).

The only problem right now is that all the items he uses are all really strong and synergize really well with his kit. On top of that people in below plat tend to easily get caught by him instead of warding so they aren't flanked or kiting making him even more powerful in the lower ranks.

Rip-off. Really? I mean the golden compass just has a polar bear who wears armor. Volibear just happens to be a polar bear as well and of course he is going to wear armor to fit him, he is a warrior.

A bear whos name has bear in it. Big whoop, its good for puns.

I personally would mind if they deleted him, I like playing volibear.

Volibear is a tank jungler, he can gank really well considering he can throw enemies over his back, fetching a quick kill for a teammate.
