My thoughts on League and Riot this year so far.

Riot does some amazing things that is for sure I mean they have made a huge step in getting Gaming to be recognized as a legitimate career and even got pro players recognized as actual athletes which is awesome but they have put to much focus into E-Sports this year and that is where they went wrong, they started neglecting the actual game itself and people let it slide. Patches getting delayed a long time, they Harrowing being pushed back to almost past Halloween, 7 champions being released less than half of the skins released by this time last year. Sure they have made some good things this year like Champion reworks that's awesome but that isn't what is pulling resources from creating new and engaging content so what is?

Why do people blindly follow Riot and not question them? They have been releasing things WAY to slow even with the "increase in quality" if you wanna call it that. I completely understand that there are somethings that cannot be skipped/rushed and that champions take months to make and that they go threw many iterations. My problem with this years production is that they don't really have anything to stand on by saying oh we have been working on THIS and that's why things have slowed down. Team Builder isn't an excuse for that and neither is quality. What people don't understand is that not everyone at Riot does everything there. they all have their specializations and don't cross that. My issue is that people try to justify everything Riot does without questioning it even a little.

People say that "oh things need testing before they can be released" "oh Riot doesn't have enough Resources to put out the content" In all honesty they put out 2-3 times more content 2 years ago with less than half the people they have now and it was still pretty good quality. You can say that its not, but really the quality hasn't upped that much from 2 years ago or even a year ago. They just use quality as an excuse to slow things down for no really good reason.

If they don't have any fresh ideas then hire people that do. The problem with Riot right now is that they set the standard to high for who they hire so that's why they "seem to lack resources" when in reality they have at least 30-40 people in each department in Riot. The Santa Monica office has over over 600 people working in it. people need to realize that Riot is slowing down production because they set the standard to high and cant reach it due to their own pride.

I don't expect many of you to share my thoughts and I will most likely get over looked by Riot since my post isn't particularly praising them.
