I knew he'd get played. I wrote a thread about it way back in s4 when I heard they were changing machete gold amount and making it so you start 2 pots.
Didn't think the casuals would get him gutted though lol. Silly riot thinks junglers don't shit all over warwick players when we see them.
Personally I like warwick. He's my third favorite full tank jungler. Eve being first. Rammus second. Ofc.

This is a 99% lose-proof build on WW that is meant to be excel at sustaining WW while he is doing Magical/Physical damage to a total of around 400 while getting tons of sustain from Passive and Ruined...

KillerPenguins1 voteswith this build, warwick's ult does about 2500 damage, and he has enough sustain and resists to where he can win 3v1. which is why he's at a 60% win rate and 95% ban rate.
Edit - oh, and to answer your question, they're nerfing his W and the damage on his ult, last I saw
ImHerVoice1 voteswarwick never gets to even cast half his ult/ The only issue with riot is the fact that some things (Despite canceling ww's ult) will still let his ult apply damage to you. (using QSS will only cancel CC and the damage will continue if you're standing near WW rofl)

This build has carried me, with variants like Hourglass doing insane ult damage with Nashor's on-hit magical getting buffed by the 120 ap bost.
Warwick isn't just a tank fighter, he is a extremely powerful 1 v 1 duelist and a Duelist usually doesn't tank. WW is a AA relient monster that requires no Lifesteal or else it's over kill.
Nashor has atk speed, spell vamp (Q and R) as well as On-Hit magical damage and mixes with Devourer's magicial on-hit damage. Add in Wit's End for the MR reduction, spirit for extra sustain and MR as well as Thornmail for AD and then WW is unkillable in 1 v 1.
Your issue is that you insist that WW is a tank champion but that means he is one-trick pony. CC somebody with ult and AoE boost with W, then you just sit around and get killed.
This is enough to solo Baron.
This is enough to solo Dragon.

The boots are dependent on needs. most of the time i'll go with 
Final Item is also game dependent, If i feel i don't need defense I'll get more kill potential items. but 90% of the time It will be defensive. If i'm the one carrying the team and its getting into late game with long death timers you can never go wrong with a 
this is my typical ww build whether I go 9/21 or 21/9

in my opinion the 50% slow is not necessary as the way I play is Maxing W>E>Q and of course R whenever available.
The blood scent from E gives more than enough chase potential and vision.
Nashors is not a terrible item because of the on hit damage but not stat efficient as devourer+witts end+ blade of the ruined king + runes and mysteries can get you to 2.3-2.5 attack speed already.
42 magic damage from witts end+ actual smite cast damage(lvl dependent) +69 true damage on hit from smite(at lvl18)+ devourer {(40 magic damage+ (2kills+assists)+(1large monsters)]
now if you combo right it should be something like this
smite enemy
ult enemy (ult hits 5 times BIGG DAMAGE)
if hey arent dead yet they are low enough to pop your E and blood scent them to have vision and move speed
if they are still too fast
use the active from blade of the ruined king to secure a kill of course you can use blade during your ult just to be safe but use it at the end of the ult.
no need to waste time when they arent running

its only fun if they run
This is all up to date and fits my play style and may not fit yours but if you would like to try it best of luck.
I do have a PBE account but have not been on recently. They have been saying they would rework for the longest time and since they nerfed him to balance him out for the new jungle I don't know if there are any new changes coming to him soon except maybe more nerfs. I'll look into it and if I find anything out I'll relay what I know.
Yeshe1 votesalso tips for the skirmisher smite. if there are lets say 2 assassins or high priority targets like the enemy adc
and a 
you CAN smite one and focus the other. this gets damage on both targets and lets you take 20% less damage from the other allowing you to fulfill your roll as a tank and still be good damage.
