Thornmail Idea

As we all know, Thornmail was designed to be the "be-all-end-all" solution for fed enemy ADC's, however, as we also know, it's really horrible at doing it's job.

Proposed changes:

Thornmail now deals true damage instead of magic damage. Thornmail now applies grievous wounds.

Recipe changed to 2 Chainvests and the recipe cost increased immensely. The use of 2 Chainvests allows players to get armor faster, rather than wait for the immense combination price to make up the difference, as it is now. 720 + 720 + 1460 = 2900 Gold

Armor is worth roughly 20 gold per 1 armor and it will still retain the 100 armor, so the new passives would be worth 900 gold, which is fairly reasonable imo. The other 2 grevious wounds items, Executioner's Calling and Morellonomicon are already gold efficient and you do not pay extra gold for their passives, just for the increased stats such as AD, AP, Crit, Mana regen, and CDR.

Old Thornmail: Cloth + Chainvest = Thornmail 300 + 720 + 1180(Combination Price) = 2200

100 Armor Unique: On being hit by basic attacks, returns 30% of damage, before any reductions such as armor, as magic damage.

Proposed Thornmail: Chainvest + Chainvest = Thornmail 720 + 720 + 1460(Combination Price) = 2900

100 Armor Unique: On being hit by basic attacks, returns 30% of damage, before any reductions such as armor, as true damage. Unique: On being hit by basic attacks, inflicts the enemy with Grievous Wounds for 2 seconds.

Thoughts?

commented on this one in the regular forum, but lower the percentage from 30 to 20% and GW for 0.5, max 1 second. other than that i like it.

And could we maybe see a mirror mail in the future. Most adc get burst down by apc instantly. Apc has RoA and Rylai's for more health. Nothing really for adc short of cleaver. Just a thought to look into. thx

I'm sorry but when it's possible for an adc to literally kill themselves by attacking you, that screams one-sided and OP to me. There's no other item in the game that inflicts damage to attackers (excluding activated items of course).

I love it. I think it should be kept as-is. Great idea.
