I'm just curious because I think a 1v1 mode would be really fun. It would work well for the players who always have "bad luck" in solo queue and I personally always loved to 1v1 any of my friends. League is a team game but could there still be a 1v1 mode? Why or why not?

Also, since there are only two people playing, you will either get along or not get along. It's a 50/50 chance rather than 5v5 in SR where most people just end up harassing everyone around them.

Riot had the "Snowdown Showdown" as a special game mode a while back.
However, Riot said that was their least-successful/least-played game mode they had so far so I highly doubt they are very willing to bring it back.
