I started this season Plat 5 0 lp. In about 100 games I made it to diamond 5. I got to diamond 4 in about 20 games. But now every game I win, I gain 11 to 13 lp. I have won 6 games in a row now and am at 83 lp. The last game I just won I gained only 11 lp. My win/loss percentage is 62% which is pretty decent. Can anyone explain this?
xGarzilla1 votesIt has to do with your MMR. If it is lower than the average of the league you are in, your receive less LP per win and lose more LP per loss.
Kind of backwards if you ask me. If you are supposedly beating people the system thinks are supposed to be better than you, you should be getting more per win, not less.

It has nothing to do with your actual stats, just your W/L average.
I personally believe that if you are in a league/division, you should be matched with people who are in that league/division, regardless of your MMR. Some people get boosted due to people carrying them through every game they play and have a higher MMR because of it, but yet they are literally bad players(bad builds, no warding, no pings, no map awareness)
Mayhem4lyfe1 votesSame here, I had a 90% win loss ratio for about 25 games and got promoted to d4 however, the lp i gain only decreased as my streak carried on, started at 18 and went down to 15 all whilst on a winning streak? Isn't my mmr meant to increase
