It is too easy to get Silver

Okay, so my friend just won 4 out of 10 provisional games. He got Silver 4... WHAT DID YOU DO RIOT! I remember when League was an impossible game and if you won 10 games you would get Silver 5. Why is it so easy to get Silver? Two of my other friends won 3 games and got silver. how come last season I win maybe 4 or 5 of my games and get Bronze 2? Riot, please change this so new players can actually learn how to play the game and earn Silver.
