Keep old client as legacy client.
Some people don't like the look or care about any of the new features,and prefer the more streamlined current client.

Won't happen the tech is old and he game cannot be pushed forward with it, this is why they have updated
The main reason they updated the client is that they can't make any of the changes they want to happen, happen. The code is old and mangled, and the new client uses more recently released software and coding programs. It allows them to update better than dealing with all the problems of the old client.
The reason they'll likely remove the client is because they won't be able to support both clients simultaneously... The same reason they dropped Dominion as a game mode (RIP Custom games of Hide and Seek) was because the server costs were too high for being such a small player base. When newer players join the game, they will go to the new client as it comes out. They won't spend a ton of time fixing the old client as they have no reason to be spending resources on it.
