Troll Victims getting chat bans...

So I just finished a game. During lost game, our Ashe was insulting me throughout the whole game. I got caught by the enemy blitz once, and then she starts insulting me with poophead and dumbface? It was reassuring that she was just a kid, and I didn't care at all, even after she started with the racial insults. I didn't mind really and just sort of accepted her insults. Anyway, post game chat I ask everyone to report the Ashe for verbal abuse. No one reports her as usually it does nothing, but anyway, being the troll she is, she reports me for verbal abuse and when I leave the lobby I see the 2 game chat ban. I get it, I'm in bronze and this cr*p happens all the time, but what I don't understand is why can't riot get themselves together regarding the report system. I mean is there really a reason to report? If everyone just denies reporting trolls, and then the victims receive chat bans, the systems screwed up...

I would post up her name but I'm gonna guess that voids forum policy o.O

  1. Because the system builds cases based on reported games rather than total (raw) reports, asking other people to report that Ashe was entirely unnecessary. If you reported her, that's all that was necessary.
  2. Reports don't automatically lead to restrictions. There is a review step - one of many aspects of the system designed to prevent innocent players from receiving any form of sanction.
    • While the current systems are certainly faster than the Tribunal was, they aren't that fast. Restrictions simply aren't issued that quickly.
  • Additionally, it requires significantly more than a single report to create a case in the first place (it requires being reported in something like 12-25% of games).
  1. Because of the above points, I can state with a great deal of certainty that the restriction you received was entirely unrelated to that Ashe.

i have the same issue, except i got stuck with an 18 game chatban, also it got worse, I GOT BANNED FROM RANK ITSELF. i mean come on riot, tribunal hasnt been up for months and this automated crap is ruining peoples accounts. i know im no angel, hell id even accept a time ban over a ranked ban, point is I want justice, i cant have a chatban and then for no reason be slammed with another one right on top of it.
