I'm really surprised such few players read the patch notes

Throughout Gold - Plat I am really surprised so many players don't read the patch notes, I mean patch notes can easily redefine the game for you and your champion. I just think a glance is always good as things can change drastically from patch to patch. I tend to read them 3 times lol :D

Pwyff and Scarizard always make sure that the Patch Notes are enjoyable to read as well. So it isn't just a wall of dull text and you can tell actual people are typing it.

lol in low elo its even worse... some one locked in ashe, didn't know about the update, complained about champ being too hard, then left. lol

I remember a Zilean post-rework (seriously, a month after or so) saying "Since when was zilean's Q a skill shot?"

I read the patch notes, but i know a lot of friends who play strictly for fun. They dont care about patches, nerfs, buffs, or anything like that. They just want to get on the rift and play.

I love to read the Patch Notes. It's one of my favorite things to do.

Because... Khazix Change.... is goooood.

JimmyNtheKudos6/22/2015, 3:55:49 PM3 votes

I hate reading them, most of the time it's a change I don't agree with QQ

Focus Teemo6/21/2015, 11:11:20 PM2 votes

Agreed and...

That moment when you realize the majority of board members don't read patch notes either, then claim everyone is "LCS sheep" when a champion starts seeing play. Its not like patch notes have information on critical changes to LoL, that can drastically change the meta, and champion viability or something...

Moral of the story... read the patch notes!

Fiora: hasn't been in the Notes since 4.20 and only a few itemization changes where she can be built so I can still rape enemy teams with my main, couple that with knowledge of your enemies abilities and then you have a monster

Tsohgder6/22/2015, 2:40:55 PM2 votes

Champion/build knowledge, jungle timing and overall decision making are WAY more important than mechanical skill in this game. When you actually KNOW what you're doing, simple strategies like wombo-combo comps, or camping the enemy jungler in their jungle become amazingly effective. You don't need a Lee Sin making da plays to win games.

patch notes that involve gutting my eve over and over don't interest me.

I barely even play League at all, I have NEVER played a ranked match in my life, and I'm absolutely trash at the game.

I read the patch notes of every patch released for this game. Because I like Riot as a game dev, and like seeing the way they work. They know what the hell they're doing(usually) and if they mess up they fix things fairly quickly. They communicate more than almost any other game dev team, and they actually know how to make their game more fun most of the time.

did anybody else not notice the added turret to tt? I got in a game with my bro and bro in law and freaked out.

Yeah... A couple weeks ago, as a Soraka , an Ahri ask me to give her mana in ARAM. I response "it has been remove ages ago", she got all quiet quicker than a cheetah, people really need to pay attention. They don't even have to read the technical stuff, at least look at the major change, just watch people will get all idiotic again when the Magus Enchantment item 3708 change to Runeglaive next patch.

I find it sad that players who are involved in the competitive aspect of league don't all at least look over champion and item changes. I'm unranked (and have no intention of playing ranked any time soon) and i always read the patch notes before playing on the newest patch.

Davy Crockett6/22/2015, 4:33:50 AM1 votes

I reread most sections that involve the champs I play

RottedApples6/22/2015, 5:04:18 AM1 votes

I always look at patch notes. I sometimes even like to see what pro/former-pro players see about some of the changed by watching for someone like saint go over them. I do this and i'm silver 5, like god damn people.

I had 2 persons in an aram last week yelling at an Ezreal in our team that EZ doesn't have any AD scaling on his ult so he was being useless in aram not going ap. There were die hard I don't read patch notes type of people.
